Tuesday March 27, 2012 - Boasting a fresh selection of gorgeous tonewoods, Taylor’s annual Spring Limited Edition guitars are here. This year’s beauties include a Cocobolo 800 Series, Hawaiian Koa 300 Series, a Baritone 416ce, and a trio of exotic-wood GS Mini guitars.
Cocobolo’s rich tonal palette and bold complexion give it a premium appeal that’s usually reserved for our top-of-the line Presentation Series and custom orders, but this spring it makes a guest appearance with the 800 Series as an 814ce-LTD and 816ce-LTD. Paired with a Sitka spruce top, the two models feature curly maple binding, a Venetian cutaway, and an abalone rosette. Proprietary CV bracing enhances the natural projection and tonal depth of cocobolo, and it all translates into great amplified tone with our onboard Expression System® (ES) electronics.
